I’m Emily. I was born and raised in Chicago metro area, and went to college in Wisconsin. I double majored in Psychology and Social Science – so yeah, I like people. I pretty much never stop talking, so I tend to make friends wherever I go. I chose to go to college in Wisconsin to see what that small town life was all about. Long story short: I knew the small town life was not for me. Don’t get me wrong – when I travel, ALL I want to see are the small towns! I almost always skip the major cities (huge budget tip, btw!) but as far as living my everyday life, I crave that hustle and bustle of a city. So, after graduating I moved back to Chicago where I was a full-time nanny. I absolutely loved it. I still wanted to see the world though, so I began figuring out how to travel on my nanny salary. After my first few trips, I was getting tons of questions on how I was able to travel on a budget, so I decided to start a travel blog! Then, I began getting questions about everything from what I wear to where I buy clothes for my dog. I am so excited to see my brand grow, and I am so excited to have you here along for the ride! Just like most of you, I am a pretty typical millennial trying to figure out life. I have two bachelors degrees, yet no idea what I want to be when I grow up. I make money, then throw it right back into rent and student loans. The idea of owning a home seems years away, and I don’t know how I can possibly do everything I want to do before I am “old”. Speaking of the typical millennial, I do not have kids, I have pets. My maltipoo is basically my best friend in the world. Her name is Casey and she’s 6 years old. We almost always have matching outfits and we go almost everywhere together. She is NOT a support animal of any kind, I simply spend tons of time figuring out what places are dog friendly! I will try to share as much info with you as I can about how to travel with your fur babies! My goal here is to help everyone in my position to know that they aren’t alone. We are all trying to figure it out, and hopefully with each others’ help, we can do this thing!
